In addition to the array of events hosted in celebration of Queen’s 175th Anniversary the College set out on an ambitious Bursary Appeal. In 2019 the Principal launched the appeal in hopes that by our 175th Anniversary we would have 10% of pupils on full bursaries. We are ever closer to achieving this goal at 9.4% of pupils with bursary support in 2023. Old Queens and the Old Queen's Society have been instrumental over the years in support of the Bursary Fund, which was established by the Old Queen's Society in 1951.
Because of fundraising activities with current parents, alumnae, and organisations Queen’s is able to support more pupils. The College is now much more representative of the socio-economic diversity of modern central London. Our bursary funding needs will only grow in the coming years and Queen’s aims to commit £600,000 towards bursary support annually. Much, but not all, is raised through philanthropy and the support of generous donors.
Bursary support will continue to be a priority for Queen’s College, London and we hope our Old Queens will continue to generously give (or make their first gift) to support our students. If you would like to support click here:
