In the Senior College, in addition to A-levels, all Year 12 students undertake work experience and volunteering placements as part of their employability education. These run on Wednesday afternoons from 22nd September until February half term and the end of February until the summer holidays, so each student has the opportunity to experience two work placements. Due to the current situation, many of our previous providers are unable to commit to placements next year and, with a large number of new students joining the Senior College in September, we need to find additional employers and charity organisations prepared to offer placements.
If you, or any contacts you may have, would be able to offer a placement to one or more students on Wednesday afternoons (1.30-4.00/4.30) from September, please email our Head of Careers, Derry-Anne Hammond on dhammond@qcl.org.uk
Thank you in advance for your time, our pupils are greatly enriched through these placements and we are grateful to our alumnae for supporting them in this way.
